A True Story About MLM's!

MLM is short for multi-level marketing. It is a very enticing way to make money but there are things you should know before you sink a lot of money into them.
First, they make it sound effortless to build up your revenue. Don't be fooled, like any business it takes at least a year of hard word and diligence to see the "residual income" that all MLM's inevitably promise.
Second all MLM companies I have had experience with bombard you with amazing testimonials. You can't avoid this. Don't take their word for it. Try it yourself before buying into it. Every ones body is different! Just because it worked for them does not mean it will work for you.
Last but not least you cannot sell a product that you don't fully believe in. Trust me you will not stick with the investment if the product does not work for you. MLM's are all about the story. Unless you truly believe in the product you cannot be successful. Just remember you are selling YOUR story not the product.
What has been your experience with MLM's?

Isometrics While Driving

Have you ever felt anxious while waiting in traffic, waiting for an accident to clear, or just driving long distances?  Did you know you could release some tension by doing small isometric exercises while sitting behind the wheel of your car?  These exercises will help your upper body stay in tone, as well as your core if you  hold your "belly button to your spine". It is also helpful if you sit straight in the seat.

What are they?  Simply put both hands on the wheel, (9 and 3 o'clock position) and push in toward the center (hold for 5 seconds) and out toward the windows (hold for 5 seconds).  Do about 20 of them for the 1 set.   Do as many sets as you choose.  It will at least release some stress and assist your shoulders to stay or become beautiful.  You will also be balancing the tone and strength in your shoulders.

Want more?  Try putting your hands at the 12 o'clock position and push down on the steering wheel.  You will notice your stomach muscles are working.  Tone them too! Do the same number in a set.   Then put your hands at the 6 o'clock position and push up on the steering wheel.  Yes, the lower stomach muscles are being used.  Do the same sets, as many as you choose.

Just remember to keep your eyes on the road in front of you and stay focused on your good driving habits.   It is also better than texting, talking or day dreaming.   You are also keeping your body and mind fit and toned.   Try it, you might like it!

Isometrics: The Alternative Exercise

Isometrics have been around for many centuries, starting in the martial arts forum and extending into Chinese physical exercise long before it became an understood exercise regimen. Even though they are not widely used by the mainstream in their exercise programs, isometrics are widely used by professional athletes and body builders. Isometrics are steadily growing in popularity.

Isometric are considered to be a static exercise whereby you contract a muscle and hold the contraction. For isometric exercises, the overall idea is to hold a muscle in a static position and not lengthen it in any way. The exercise includes any static force that you can use to cause equal pressure between muscles or one specific muscle. Body builders use isometrics in their routines. In these routines, they usually use weights that are held in a specific spot for long period of time, or they form muscles and hold them.

The main difference between these and other exercises is that all other exercises emphasize movement. When doing isometric exercises, one burns and grows the muscle through the held contraction, while other exercises do the same through the movement and stretching of the muscle. There are schools of thought that support both and trainers now incorporate both static exercise and movement into their workouts. Isometrics also do not utilize any special equipment or workout gear, and can be done in reps lasting only a few seconds. Other forms of exercise must be done for at least 30 minutes or more, and may require equipment and the proper attire in order to keep the person safe from injury.

NASA did a study on isometrics and found that although they validated the benefit of isometric exercise as an alternative, over time, muscle mass decreased when it was the sole exercise regimen being utilized. They concluded that isometrics should only be used in conjunction with additional movement exercises. The use of isometrics is also very beneficial in a diet and exercise plan when coupled with cardiovascular exercises.

The Difference Of Isometrics

Isometric training is a type of strength training in which the joint angle and muscle length do not change during contraction. Isometric exercise promotes stronger muscles, physical endurance, higher performance and healthier posture. Isometric exercises can be done to rehabilitate injuries from sports and other injuries. You can do these exercises without any equipment. It is capable of muscular development in a very short period of time. Hold your body in a static neutral alignment and the gravity will create muscular tension. It is an effective technique for strengthening muscles and aiding injury recovery, and helps to prevent future sports injuries. These exercises can be done on a daily basis anywhere and anytime without any equipment. It can help you feel change in your strength and body awareness.

If you compare isometrics to weight training, the latter strengthens the muscle throughout the range of motion and the joint is trained in, causing an increase in physical strength from the initiating through to terminating joint angle. Weight training exercises do require a certain kind of equipment to exercise and cannot be done anywhere or everywhere. Either you need to have the equipment at home or you would have to go to the gym to exercise and do weight training.

The biggest limitation of isometric exercise is that isometrics provides strength training, but it does not involve the contraction of the muscles. Therefore, it's impractical to make isometrics your primary form of strength training as you’d need to do many exercises, each at a different joint angle, in order to strengthen a muscle at all points in its full range of motion. Whereas, in other form of exercises, such as weight training, you can go to a gym where there are also different forms of equipment, which can help you to strengthen different parts of your body.
